Do you have a favorite place that stands out above all others? For me, it’s Las Vegas. I don’t gamble and rarely spend time in the casino, though I might try my luck on the slots occasionally. What draws me to Vegas is its convenience as a lazy traveler; everything from entertainment to restaurants and spas is all in one place. My favorite hotel is Aria, where I can find all my favorite restaurants. The spa is top-notch, and I adore their signature fragrance. In fact, I loved it so much that I bought a similar scent from Amazon. The real one is pretty pricey, but the dupe I found smells just like it!
I typically visit Las Vegas early in the year after getting my tax return—it’s a tradition! I could easily spend my entire refund on food. There’s one restaurant I have to visit every time: Bardot Brasserie. I don’t usually go for French cuisine, but there’s something so charming about Bardot that I can’t resist.
Their menu changes with the seasons, but some dishes remain staples, like the crab and endive salad. The crab and aïoli is absolutely divine. And you can’t visit a French restaurant without trying the escargots! While snails in garlic and butter might not sound appealing to everyone, trust me—they’re delicious! If it helps, I’ve heard that the texture and taste of snails are quite similar to mushrooms! 🙂 If you don’t overthink it, you can easily imagine you’re just enjoying mushrooms in garlic and butter.
On my latest visit to Bardot, I went with my sister, brother, and sister-in-law. We made brunch reservations and enjoyed orange juice in champagne flutes. I love dining out with my siblings because we’re all about trying as many dishes as possible, which usually leads to us overordering. It’s not ideal when we can’t finish everything, especially since it can get pricey. But as my friend Bria says, “We’re here for a good time, not a long time!”
